The mother of my child receives welfare cash aid, food stamps and medical for my 8 year old child. I was in prison for 3 years and released last year and 3 months ago was ordered from the state to pay 400 $ child support. I will be paying this next week. What I would like to know is how much of my child support will go toward the mother of my child?
It could go to repay welfare. I can't tell you without reviewing the record.

Child support that becomes due while the custodial parent and/or children are receiving aid is assigned to the state and county, up to the amount of aid actually provided, to reimburse the state and county for that aid. Child support that becomes due while no aid is being received is owed to the non-custodial parent.
I concur with Attorney Prosser's fine answer.
