How does someone file for divorce in prison if he can't make it to the hearing?
1 attorney answer
He can file for divorce and ask the court if he can testify by telephone. He can contact the chaplain or the librarian for assistance with that. If he can swear that there is no community property or children, he can do service by posting which is less expensive. He can also request the filing fee be waived due to indigency.
