My friend is 17 and her boyfriend is 18 they sent each other nude pictures now someone on Instagram is threatening to tell her parents and saying that they will put her boyfriend in jail.
Nude pictures of a juvenile can be illegal. They need to stop doing this, and stop telling people and/or showing people that they are doing this.
There is nothing you can do to stop people from reporting a possible crime.
Tell your friend how dumb it is to send naked pics of herself to ANYONE. That can end up on the Internet for the rest of her life.

Under the recently updated Idaho law, a minor who takes and sends nudes of himself/herself is guilty of a misdemeanor under state law. Someone who received the nude photo of the minor and shows someone else or sends it to someone else is guilty of a felony.
They should stop taking and sending these photos or at least stop sending them. If the police make contact with these individuals, my recommendation is that they make no statement prior to speaking to an attorney. The police will need probably cause to search their electronic devices. It is a good practice to not make statements that help the police establish probable cause to search your devices.
