How do I sue my Job for not properly training me and being fired for it?
1 attorney answer
I'm sorry, but South Carolina is an employment at will state, which means that other than limited exceptions for actions based on illegal discrimination, an employer can fire an employee for pretty much any reason - good or bad - or no reason at all. Fairness does not factor in. Where employees have labor unions, union contracts can provide more job protection but very few employees in South Carolina are unionized.
