I was getting training from a co-worker for this TCD machine I never used it before nor seen it before. My coworker did not know how to train properly and always getting frustrated with me. I was only there for two months never finished my training classes and was told you have to service this machine with money. It was always short or over and I was still confused on how to service it. Eventually I got fired for violating company policy when I wasn't aware of the policy for this machine. It was just thrown to me cause my co worker was transferring.
I'm sorry, but South Carolina is an employment at will state, which means that other than limited exceptions for actions based on illegal discrimination, an employer can fire an employee for pretty much any reason - good or bad - or no reason at all. Fairness does not factor in. Where employees have labor unions, union contracts can provide more job protection but very few employees in South Carolina are unionized.
