I purchased a new roof from Lowe's 3 months ago. The job was done so
poorly, that the men who did it came back out and fixed the worst areas. I
was still dissatisfied, and tried to get help from many different places. I was redirected and redirected; left messages, emails and called numerous times. I went into the store, talked with the manager numerous times. I finally let the condition of the roof go because I had to put the house on the market, and the frustration of not getting any results was making me
anxious. I stopped trying.
Unfortunately, the Home Inspection was done and the RIDGE VENT was not installed correctly. It's supposed to allow air to escape the attic and
there are two tiny holes. The Roof Boots are also not done properly. This cost me a contract because while I was advertising a NEW Roof , the buyers felt I had had a substandard contractor install the roof.
I just called the store and explained my situation and the person on the
phone came back and said, here's the number my manager says to call.
I have called the number many times, never have been helped. Tried to reach out to corporate. I need to have another roofer come repair the roof.
You can either hire an attorney or not. You will have to sue both Lowe's and whoever they subcontracted to do the work (most likely a local private roofer). Getting to that identity before the statute of limitations expires is important. My suggestion would be to hire counsel if you feel your damages warrant it.
