I was served with a Summons to Continuing Garnishment as a "Employer" listed as the Garnishee and me as the Defendant Personally. I am not sure how to answer being that I am the owner of the business?
I am NOT trying to file bankruptcy or dodge the garnishment. The company pays the defendant with a 1099 so I am unaware of how to file or what amount is correct since no taxes or deductions are taken out. I am looking for an attorney or paralegal willing to assist me in filing this document. Thank you.
Who is the taxpayer? You mention the defendant in both the second and third person, so this is confusing. In any event, you really should seek a consultation with a tax attorney.
