I was served a summons a year ago, regarding a credit card debt. I submitted my information in writing to the court, as instructed. I have the signed documents, including the registered letter sent to the attorney at that time. I heard nothing back after that. Then today, I received the notice of peremptory calendar. I am not sure what this means or what I should do.
You show up for court. This calendar is a “clean up” calendar. If the plaintiff’s attorneys show up for trial, the case will proceed, and a judgment could be entered against you. If they fail to show up, the judge can dismiss their case.
