My son's father left the country 3 years ago. Prior to him leaving, I obtained a court order for child support in Maryland. He left 5 months later. He has been in Ghana ever since. I have been told that I could obtain a lawyer in Ghana but otherwise there wasn't any hope for my case. If I had money for a foreign lawyer I would not need to ask for child support. My son's father now owes over $25,000. Any suggestions?
In a country like Ghana, there is probably nothing you can do to get child support from him. However if he ever comes back to the USA you can get him.
