I am the Petitioner in an RDP dissolution. Due to ongoing health issues, I decided not to proceed and I filed a Request for Dismissal. It was not accepted due to RESPONSE ON FILE.
Despite any repercussions for my decision, I will NOT proceed. I was told to notify the courtroom clerk, that I would not be in attendance. How is this done?
At this point you do not have the right to not go through with the divorce. The other party has responded and apparently wants the divorce, so it will proceed. Do a declaration and file it with the court regarding your circumstances and see what happens.
