Innocent yet because of financial reasons I had to take a plea to a misdemeanor charge of child neglect because I couldn’t afford a trial. Along with my plea I was ordered to complete 100 parenting classes within a year. (I completed almost double that within 6 months). I had a year to pay a restitution fine (which is paid in full), Along with your typical informal probabtion (I have had no issues), lastly they gave me a 4 year protective order against my 2 minor children but that the protective order still allows family court to have jurisdiction in the matter and that the protective order coincides with whatever current and future family court orders so if awarded custody of my children the protective orders allows me custody of my children. My criminal attorney also put in my plea that after I have completed the parenting classes and have obeyed the courts will the judge award me the possibility of having the order lifted and the judge granted his request. I need to get this protective order lifted ASAP because I have family court may 30th what do I do ?
You need to direct this question to your criminal attorney. The protective order is through the criminal court, and you have a lawyer who has knowledge of all the facts of your case. They are in the best position to tell you how to get it lifted.
