She is currently being held in York county jail. She has bern there for one week now. She had a court hearing regarding a family matter, but when she arrived she was informed that she was being arrested for trafficking. She allegedly sold to a CI on two separate occasions about a month prior. When arrested she had 10000 cash bail but had a hearing the following day. The judge agreed to lower bail to PR with supervision. She had been waiting to be screened by pretrial services for 6 days now. We have come up with $7500 and are desperate to help her get bail before Christmas. What do we do? Please help
As I understand it the bail is personal recognizance but I am not sure what you mean by supervision. Do you mean a Pretrial Services Contract? If so she is waiting to be screened by them. There should be an office in York County you can call.
I am not sure the courts are open tomorrow since I do know that the federal courts are closed. If they are open call the clerks office on the court where she appeared. Finally, if she has a lawyer call him or her to assist you.
The obvious problem is that it’s christmas and I doubt that the jail will let her out even if you post the $7500. I am sorry I can’t offer a definitive answe. You may call me tomorrow at 6535636 if you wish to discuss this further.
