My son went to visit his uncle in Utah over the summer and decided that he would like to give school a shot out there. He does not do well where we live and found out that there are programs he can take to learn working skills at the high school in Richfield, Utah. I would like to give him that opportunity, however, they said I need to give temporary guardianship to my brother-in-law in order to get him enrolled in school. I don't even know where to begin to start this process.
He needs to file for guardianship in Utah and you consent. Get a consultation with a Utah attorney to see if there's a simpler way.
