Domestic violence case dismissed after judge refused to listen to audio or review text ex boyfriend mentioned he would kill me in front of minor child. However, judge told him hes not allowed at property where I live unless escorted by police officer. How do I get rid of belongings legally he left behind.
If you ex wants his personal belongings, tell him to set up a time with a police officer to get his property. If he doesn't want it you can do whatever you want with it.
If you have an address for him, send him a certified letter stating that he needs to make arrangements to come to your residence with a police officer without 30 days of the date of your letter to pick up his belongings or you will presume he does not want them and dispose of them. If he gets the letter and does not retrieve the items, you can dispose of them.
