My mother in law made me sign a temporary custody paper. There is no court document on it and she won't even give me a copy of the agreement. I thought we set a date on when it ended but she still hasn't given him up. What am I suppose to do?
You will probably have to do a writ if assistance or habeas corpus and you will need an attorney as this is difficult to do on your own.
If there is no court order, it is immediately revocable. Tell her you are revoking anything you signed and demand she return your son. If she refuses, you can try to go to police, but they may not help without a court order.
