Mother of my grandchild is refusing to let me see him. She has no good reason other than she is a hateful witch
She may be a hateful witch, but she is the parent. You can file for grandparent visitation, and you will have to prove that such visitation is in the child's best interest. Discuss that with an attorney in your area who can advise you after getting the relevant facts.
burt is correct. the burden is on you to prove that it is in the best interest of the child to see you and that without this, the child is unduly harmed. tough burden. read 750 ilcs 5/609.2 google it. see section 3 of it.
is the father your child? can you see the grandchild when he has time with his child? that would be easier, faster, less expensive.
