I have just had my diver's license in California suspended for missing payments on a simple traffic ticket. I must move back to Connecticut within the next 2 weeks, and my CA court date is over a month away. I cannot afford a lawyer to speed up the court process. I just want to know from a CONNECTICUT lawyer if I will be able to get a CT license without having cleared up the CA suspension.
I don't believe that it will be possible. States share info and Ct is not going to give you a license until you clear up your California situation. So please don't drive cause you won't have a valid license and you'll get another violation which could even further delay the issuance of a CT license to you
You have an answer from a lawyer in CT, and that is pretty much how it goes all across the US.
