A few years ago (2014), I had a part-time job at vapor shop in Iowa. I was 19 at the time that I was working there and had gotten "stung" by the police with an undercover minor. I was given a ticket for "Employee providing tobacco/vapor product to a minor." I don't even know if this is a misdemeanor or a criminal charge, first of all, and I have obviously already payed the ticket. Is there any way I can get this taken off my record? This is my first charge for anything (besides a speeding ticket).
The charge is a simple misdemeanor and is a criminal offense in Iowa. There is no procedure under Iowa law to expunge it, given that you entered a guilty plea by paying the ticket.
