My mother bought me an insurance policy that was to act as a small retirement fund. The insurance company she purchased it from has changed hands several times now. I have tried on my own to track it down with no success. Who do I need to contact, to track down this policy for me.
Get the paperwork, call that company. If they assigned it, they will know to who. In fact, mom or you should have gotten notices after each change. There is no central registry of who has a policy with what company.
Further, unless premiums have continued to be paid, there is no policy any more. Again, mom should know where the payment was sent, unless you sent it.
