Police, Texas Ranger and more falsified police reports and official investigation into a death in police custody. I have reports dash cam all that is needed to prove this. That the police lack of action and attention to the severity of the situation attributed to my sons death. The lack of concern and urgency caused the ems from the time of call for ems to the time my son got to the hospital was 1 hour and 30 minutes and the drive was 30 miles round trip, the delay resulted in my son arriving to hospital dead instead of alive where he would have had a chance of survival. But due to the actions of police, their dispatch and ems my son is dead. I have reports and dash cam that do not add up I have police dispatch logs that the ti,es do not match along with the ems times. I am getting close to filing it myself I already served them with the 6 month notice. Cause of death was meth overdose, which has a 97% survival rate if gotten to hospital while still alive. The dash cams the the officers laughing and joking while my son lies handcuffed on the ground with no shirt in a field moaning out in pain asking for help is disgusting. All they did was dial 911& chain him up like an animal
It would be a mistake for you to file the answer yourself. You need a lawyer who has experience litigating against the government, and also that has experience with wrongful death. Many of us here on AVVO have that experience so you should review each lawyers ratings. Not sure what your question was, but, it's my advice that you get in contact with an attorney immediately.
None of the opinions above should be considered legal advice, until I have had the opportunity to review the actual facts of the case.

Our hearts go out to you and your family after this tragedy. We agree with the other Counselors that suggest a VERY experienced WD lawyer to represent your son's interests. Preferably one litigating against Law Enforcement.
