My daughter mother dropped her off at my sisters house 3 months ago .I have only been able to get in contact with her to help get our daughter in school from my address. I dont know a phone number on her nor do I have an address. I dont have any proof that i'm her father except the child support paperwork. I tried contacting the child support office in my area. They sent me downtown once got there they told me there was nothing they could do unless. I had her contact information. Im now still paying child support and taking care of my daughter full time
You're probably going to end up having to hire an attorney. Even though you are entitled to what you are seeking, it can be a fairly complex process for someone who is not an attorney. You can file for custody and file to terminate the support at the same time. An internet search or a private investigator can help you locate the mother, or it's possible that she could be declared an absentee and the court would appoint a curator.
You will need to file for custody of the child immediately. You will need to file to terminate the child support. Some of the courts have forms for this and you can also look online. You really need to consult an attorney to assist you.
Hire a custody lawyer to file for filiation and joint custody But beware, she will come after you for child support.
To supplement what they said, keep in mind that the termination of child support STARTS THE DAY YOU FILE IN COURT.
Some judges MAY give you credit for the time you have had the child, but not always.
Don't delay, get something filed immediately.
There are ways to address not having her phone number or address.
Good thing is - child support may not have her address either - so your money may be sitting in child support so you MAY get some back.
