He is out of the states, he has to solve some legal issues over there now and they require his medical records. His doctor is here in USA, they sent him a form to release his medical records so he can fill It out, sign it and send it back to them. now they have the form and they are processing the medical records but they say they can’t send them over seas and that if I have to pick up the records I need a lower of attorney. How can I get a power of attorney if he is not here. I need to get his medical records and send them back to his lawyer so they can notarized them. Please help
You have an attorney draft a power of attorney naming you as agent and email it to your brother who signs it before 2 witnesses and a foreign notary (preferably at the consulate if possible), scans and emails it back to you. You provide a copy (need not be the original) to the doctor, the doctor releases records to you.
