My last job had claimed that they fired me because I stole from them and didn’t pay my bill when I came to eat on my off day. However this never happened; I left due to lack of work. My claim has been Indefinitely denied due to “violating a company policy” I want to take legal action.
Did you participate in a hearing on your unemployment claim? If so, and if the judge found the employer's claims to be valid, then there is no course of action against the employer unless the employer submitted false/fraudulent evidence or otherwise committed fraud upon the court.
Ms. Puro is correct. However, assuming the time limitation for appealing the "unemployment claim" has not expired, you would have the ability to appeal the decision to present evidence that the employer's stated reason is false.
