I figured out the mistake last year that included garnishment and liens. I am to finally get some sort of return the next few weeks. The refund does not even begin to cover the financial stress and costs. H and R admits to the mistake but I have asked for restitution with no specific answers...even to H and R HQ. can someone help? I am a retired teacher but on disability retirement and need to recover monies this has cost me!!
Based upon the rest of your post I'm assuming you are speaking of HR Block and problems with a tax return. I have answered this primarily to move it from construction & development to the tax legal practice area so that it will be seen by those with the correct background.
Additionally, I would point out that these cases are very difficult to get much in the way of a recovery as you are not entitled to any pain and suffering type damages in these cases.
