Want my daughter removed as joint tenants title. I want to sale my Mobil Home & move. I need all proceeds from my sale to live. My daughter has never paid one dime towards my property. Daughter added herself awhile back, I noticed her name on my latest Property Tax bill. Why is this so hard for me to get her off? Why does she have so many rights on my property that I’ve paid for? I am 80 & very much still alive & want her off of my mobile home.
By doing what you did, you made your daughter a part owner. She does not have to remove her name if she does not want to. Consult with an attorney in your area.
Unless a forgery has been done, either you took title with her originally or signed off on her becoming a joint tenant. Without her agreement, you can not just "remove" her from her interest, although you can convert joint to co-ownership. You will need court action to obtain anything more, if it's possible.
