I’m in the military at a duty station a couple states away from California, where my daughter was born, and has always lived. Her mother refuses to let her stay with me here or even come here to see me without someone else being here. We have zero court agreements and so far we’ve just been trying to keep it civil between us. However, it’s getting out of hand because I have no control here. What can I do to get some kind of court requirement for her to see me and be here a couple month out of the year? I know getting sole custody of a child is impossible for fathers in California, but if I can find a way, I’d love to. Thanks.
You need advice from a California attorney. Your daughter has always lived in California, so there is no way your case would be handled in Colorado. If you repost your question with a California location, you will get better answers.
