The response above is not intended as legal advice since it’s impracticable to provide thorough, accurate advice based upon the query without additional details. It is highly recommended that one should seek advice from a criminal defense attorney licensed in your jurisdiction by setting up a confidential meeting. Moreover, this response does not constitute the creation of an attorney-client relationship since this message is not a confidential communication because it was posted on a public website, thereby publicly disclosing the information, which is another reason to setup a confidential meeting with an attorney.
The drug case is now deemed a misdemeanor by operation of law, though you still need to petition for it. After reduced you can have it dismissed under 1203.4 of the Penal Code (referred to as expungement, but quite a misnomer). The state prison case is a straight felony now that you went to prison. You can apply for discretionary dismissal and/or pardon. best to contact an attorney directly. There are a number of post-conviction measures that you might be eligible for. Prices will vary among attorneys.
No legal advice is given here. My responses to questions on Avvo are never intended as legal advice and must NOT be relied upon as if they were legal advice. I give legal advice ONLY in the course of a formal attorney-client relationship. Exchange of information through Avvo's Questions & Answers forum does not establish an attorney-client relationship with me. That relationship is established only by joint execution of a written agreement for legal services. I am only licensed in the States of California and New York and the District of Columbia
Good lick with all of that. Pick up the phone and make some calls.

The odds of getting your records cleared is dependent on the facts of the cases themselves, and how you have performed when out on probation or parole. See an Attorney
You have a few avenues available to you. For some of your charge, you may be able to expunge/dismiss the charges per 1203.4. However, 1203.4 is not available for some felony convictions, particularly if you have served in state prision. BUT, while 1203.4 may not apply to the 496, realignment (prop 47) might apply. If that is the case, then you may be able to reduce the 496 felony to a misdemeanor. And then take it from there . Give an attorney a call as more information is needed.
