You should contact the side that served you with a subpoena. Generally, a witness in a criminal case is only entitled to twelve bucks a day, plus mileage. Defense attorneys are usually more likely to reimburse a witness for actual expenses and losses. Prosecutors think they're doing God's work, so they don't care if they make a witness lose their car or home.
