RE: ____________ v _____________ WC Case #:____________
Dear _________________, Esq.:
I have made multiple attempts to contact you to determine the whereabouts of my settlement proceeds in the amount of $1.5M. Regrettably, you have failed to return my attempts to communicate with you. In the event you do not contact me and provide me with the status of those funds and your current office address within 3 days of your receipt of this correspondence, I will be forwarding a copy of this letter as an attachment to my complaint against you, which will be filed with the Second Judicial Department Attorney Grievance Committee.
I look forward to your immediate cooperation.
Date it. Make a copy of it. Take a picture of it with your cell phone. Send the letter as a photo to him by text, Send a scanned copy by email, and send a copy by regular mail. No response, fire away.
Here is a link for you to file your complaint.
I would send a letter to his last known address and advise him that if he has not answered your questions (give a relatively short, but realistic time frame) that you will contact the Bar Association Grievance Committee. You should move promptly.
My answer to your question is for general purposes only and does not establish an attorney-client relationship,
