Once an adoption has become final, you cannot change that status just because you love the children that you apparently weren’t able to care for. This may sound harsh but that is the law.
You had whatever opportunities were available to you prior to the children being put out for adoption. For whatever reason, you apparently weren’t able to meet the conditions and the children are now, forever and permanently, the children of the new parents.
