Father of my 2 children (5&7 yrs old) was granted emergency custody with false allegations in Texas. We live in Virginia, however did stay in TX for 6 month prior. He came to Virginia, him and his girlfriend grabbed the children from behind while playing in front of their friend's house with their other siblings and threw them in the truck and sped off. Police was called, they were stopped. He was arrested on a trespassing charge. He spent one night in jail. Children were left in the care of his girlfriend per his request. The children don't know their father. Their entire life they might seen him 10 times and they definitely don't know his girlfriend other than seeing her for short times.
They disappeared with the children. Police checked their last known address and said it looks like they haven't been there for quite some time.
This man has an extensive violent, abusive history (between 200-300 criminal charges over the past 20 + years)
He can't handle children especially that age.
I have an attorney through the court but she never returns my calls after the initial conversation 4 days ago.
Thank you for the advice.
You are lucky if you were appointed an attorney yet. You would not have been in Texas unless the state was trying to terminate your parental rights. You can hire your own attorney. You can see if the FBI will take a kidnapping complaint.
Accepting cases in Dallas, Denton, Collin and Tarrant Counties. THIS IS GENERAL ADVICE AND DOES NOT REPLACE A PERSONAL CONSULTATION WITH AN ATTORNEY AND DOES NOT ESTABLISH AN ATTORNEY/CLIENT RELATIONSHIP
