I got a car for my girlfriend, the car was in my name but she was giving me the money to make payment. We broke up and she asked to keep the car and promised to be sending money for payment. Its 2 months past now and she doesn't want to pay or give up the car and she moved to Florida and doesn't want to tell me where she is in Florida. How can I get back the vehicle to give back to the lien holders? If the vehicle is repossessed what happens to the payment balance?
Report the car stolen to the police and the lien holder. You are legally the owner and if you withdraw your consent for her to use it and she refuses to give you back possession then she has stolen it. When the car is repossessed the car will be sold off at auction. The auction proceed will be applied to the balance and you will be responsible for any deficits. If may be better for you to recover the car through the help of police and sell the car yourself to pay off the loan -- you will get much more than auction.
