Due to a shared custody modification I have had to transport my child back and forth to school in another town. The commute is too far creates a financial burden upon myself as well as frustrating my child with too much interruption with his school schedule. Is it possible to get a hearing date before the start of the school year at the end August for purposes of enrollment?
If your case is in Hampden Country, call the clerk's office and ask. Not likely possible in Middlesex.
My suggestion would be to seek an agreement with the other party. Then you can do it and then just file a joint modification.
Otherwise this can get complicated quickly.
In some cases you can schedule an emergency motion, but what you have detailed wouldn't qualify. Regardless, you would still need to give notice to the other party. Hampden county courthouse is extremely busy, I doubt you will get a date for 6-8 weeks.
Best of luck.
