I had a situation where i got frustrated and blacked out. I got in some trouble with the law an they gave temporary custody to a family member with visitation. The family member is making things very difficult for me to see my child and i have visitation. I need to know legally being the childs mom what can i do to go get my custody back and who can i talk to thru cps to make this happen because they are involved
If the family member is violating the court order you can file a rule to show cause. If a GAL is involved, you can bring your problem to them for investigation and resolution. When you say temporary, I assume there is a review hearing scheduled. In that case you should retain an attorney to assist you in presenting your case to have your child returned, which I believe is the goal in all but the most extreme cases. I don't know of any magic number or person at CPS.
