My husband left me for a younger woman with two kids, he was our main source of income, he left me with no car to get back and forth to work and with only a part time job, is there any grounds for some sort of alimony, we have been married for a little over a year, I was also served almost two weeks ago with the paper work having the wrong name
You may be able to get some a form of alimony known as bridge-the-gap. I suggest contacting an experienced family law attorney in your area to assist with this matter. If you are unable to afford an attorney you may want to contact a legal aid organization to see if you qualify for their services. I have included a link to the legal aid organization. They have an office location in Ocala. https://clsmf.org/ I wish you the best of luck.

You only have twenty days to file an answer once you are served with a petition for dissolution. If you fail to file an answer then a default could be entered against you and you will then have a hard time contesting the divorce. I agree with my colleague that you need to contact a family law attorney to assist you or contact legal aid to see if they can assist you. If you were served almost two weeks ago then you do not have a lot of time to get an answer filed. Good luck to you.
