I'm in a union have over 80,000 in my plan how is it possible they say I can't borrow my own money when I know guys in 3 other unions that have no problem withdrawing some from theres? ?
The terms of the pension plan control whether you can take a loan or withdrawal or not. It also depends on the type of pension plan it is. If the plan is solely cotributed to by the employer, you cannot withdraw. If it is a contribution plan, then the language of the plan controls so since those 3 other people you mention are in another union their plan can be different. You need a copy of the plan to see if this is allowed.
