So, my son's grandma gets court order visits every other month. He's 8 so court isn't up for listening to what he has to say. My son's dad that I am not with doesn't want her to have the visits. I have full custody so have been brought into this mess. This family is always causing drama and hostility and I'm tired of being in the middle. I was told it the dad who petition to end these visits don't show or the grandma it is dismissed. What about the party such as me? I could care less what these 2 argue about. After, years of hearing them fight I just don't care to be there.
If you are the mother of the child who has the sole custody, you have to be there. The court may like to hear your opinion. Yes, unfortunately it is a mess surrounding the visitation and you have a right to say 'yes or no.' If you have an attorney, you can send your attorney. Good luck.
