You will benefit from having counsel to deal with DFCS. How you interact with them is extremely important. Hopefully you have a prescription from a medical doctor for these drugs you take.
I agree with Mr. Hopkins. Possessing a drug, that is basically prescription meth, without a prescription is not good either. You are required to notify them of any drugs which you have a prescription when you test. If you don't have a prescription and you test positive, you fail. It's really as simple as that. If you are indigent, you may qualify for court appointed counsel. Whether it is private counsel or a court appointed attorney, you need to get representation quickly. You also need to watch your social media postings and the way you interact with DFCS, as it will affect your ability to get your kids back.
This communication does not form an attorney-client relationship. No attorney-client relationship can, or will, be formed without a contract detailing the terms of the relationship and signed by the represented party and an attorney of the firm. I agree with my colleagues. There seem to be many moving parts to your puzzle. It is very important that you have a lawyer help you sort it out and present your evidence to the court. Gather all of your evidence (prescriptions etc) and go see an attorney today. Make sure it is someone who is adept in dealing with DFCS in your county. I also suggest you get representation for your possession case. If you can't afford one, the court MAY appoint an attorney for you. Good luck to you.
