A friend who was born in the USA, is now 22. About 8 months ago, his older brother was stopped at crossing the border with his minor son (8 or 9 years old) and applied for Asylum. He came to Miami area (now lives in Pompano Beach, Florida) and went to his court hearings without a lawyer, just saying he did not have one. He does not speak English. A few weeks ago he received an Order of Deportation and he is supposed to leave the USA approximately the first week in August, 2018.
His american-born brother wants to know if he can submit an I-130 petition for him to be able to stop his deportation.
He is looking desperately for an attorney to help his brother from going back to their country, Honduras. The situation in Honduras, as in other Central American countries is very dangerous because of the drug-traffickers who will kill if the person does not "work" for them.
At this point, it is imperative that he consult with an experienced immigration lawyer to review the deportation case and order as soon as possible. Good luck to him!

I am sorry to read about your friend's situation. Do you know if he attended all his court hearings? It would be important for him to meet with an experienced immigration lawyer to evaluate his cases, and his chances for an appeal or a motion to reopen.
