I'm the co owner on a vehicle that was impounded by the City of Chicago and a judge order for the fee to be at a zero balance and car be returned to the owner, the prosecutor will not even since the case has been dismissed. The car was supposed to be returned in July 2018 and it still haven't. My husband has passed fighting for this car and I can't rest until I know I can sue them. I'm looking to file a civil lawsuit against the prosecutor and the City of Chicago. I never known an attorney to not follow a judge order.
If you want to sue the City of Chicago, you're going to need an attorney licensed in Illinois.
