I signed a contract for home repairs in July 2018. Repairs were completed in November 2018. The repairs failed two inspections by the county ( 01/2019 and 07/2019) and the contractor is not responding to when the problems will be fixed. What can I do? They have been paid in full as I was threatened by the contractor that he would put a lien on my home if I did not pay him.
These types of situations are unfortunately very common. You need to consult with a construction law attorney who can review the specific facts of your matter, the written agreement with the contractor, the inspection results and advise you on how to proceed. I wish you luck.
