I reported one of my professors last fall for dehumanizing me three times that semester in front of the class. Now, I have been put on a remediation plan that I'm complying with but I fear they will not let me graduate. I have been berate by professor via a discussion board that asked for MY opinion on an issue. When that professor doesn't agree with your comments, he blasts you via a response that can be read by everyone in the class. In another class, the professor has constantly treated myself and two other black females with unprofessionalism that in my opinion is in 180 degree contrast to how he treats the white students. In addition, even though we're pay ~$50k for the degree, sometimes our emails are never answered by the Director of Clinical Svcs on matters of grave importance. Case in point - I received an X for the summer semester because I had insufficient clinical hours. However, I received the needed by the end of August. I completed and turned in my clinical hours at the end of August and my grade hasn't been changed yet. Plus, my email to her inquiring when it would be changed has gone unanswered. There's more but there is insufficient space to type here.
I would pursue a grievance against the professor under the rules and procedures of your college or university. Although it is quite unprofessional for a professor to berate you in front of the class it is not illegal for him to do so.
