My dad has 2000 to give me to try and appeal this 5yr protection order. My wife has abused me thru the court system for the pass 2yrs. Bleeding me dry of my money, she has made me lose everything i own, my job, my son. This is the second protection order she got. First one i got dismissed this one i couldn't afford a Lawyer and honestly didnt think i needed one she set me up to get into a fight with her boyfriend where i was attacked. She said i was the one that attacked him which is a lie she said I've beat her for years which is a lie and I've never been charged with domestic violence. they wouldn't take any of my evidence really wasn't even allowed giving the affidavit had to read it. Pretty much everything she said was the truth everything i said and had proving she was lying he objected to so wasn't allowed to use it .
you usually only have 30 days to appeal a decision and family cases are rarely reversed on appeal. I would save my $2000. If I were you. Instead file a family case to work on getting time with your child.
