We owed 3 years back taxes because I worked overseas and fell into a gray area of tax owed due to foreign earned income. We have paid back 2 years and now on the 3rd. Somehow that 3rd year was filed as married filing seperately. Not quite sure why or how but I think she re-filed without my knowledge. Anyways now she claims that because she was not on the taxes she owes nothing which the IRS also is saying. The decree as you will see on page 45 says she owes "1/2 of the IRS debt". Since we were married during this year 2006 is she still liable due to the decree?
Also she didnt tell me until after the December due date of DEC 25 for our monthly payment.
