I’m starting an online business soon, I will be selling 925 sterling silver. 1) I’m still not sure if I should do LLC or sole proprietorship. 2) If I pick either or how do I have to add sales tax?
You would need to first form the entity, an LLC is beneficial in that you can then file a more simplified tax return as an LLC is treated as a pass through entity, as to the sales tax issue, the type of an entity you form, will have no effect on how you collect your sales taxes, as those will be computed out of your gross revenue regardless of which entity you chose to form.
