I can't remember if it was back in2013.
I used to work at a retail store, one day I was caught leaving the building with a few unpaid items.
They called the police on me but no arrest I was about 18 years old at the time and now I'm 24 and no other issues whatsoever.
I went to court and all that, I was under probation for a whole year. I'm planning on applying for my citizenship next week and I wonder if what will affect me or how should I manage the situation. Should I still respond yes or no to the questionnaire where they ask if you had ever stole? I'm very concerned on how to approach those questions!
Thank k you very much in advance
I strongly suggest you consult with an Immigration Atty before you complete any questionnaire. It appears that you had a Pre Trial Diversionary Program and the Charges were ultimately dismissed. However you were arrested but you were simply issued a summons and not taken into physical custody. Hence, ICE will know you were arrested and charged. How you answer the question is extremely important.
