they might be just moving forward with charges against your friend. you can probably call the district attorney to find out. Or, you can likely leave the issue lie. If they want you, they will likely either come and get you or will send you something in the mail.
It could take several weeks before the blood work is back from the lab. In the meantime you should search for and secure an experienced criminal defense attorney. If you have marihuana in your system you are looking at a third tier DUI. If this is your first offense you may be eligible for a program known as ARD. Good luck.
I don't know who told you it would take 5 days for blood test results. I have to believe that there was some miscommunication on this point. You identified PSP as the arresting agency. They will send the blood to the regional State police lab that services your area. It will probably take 5 weeks or more for those results to be communicated to the arresting Trooper. Relax it will be a while longer. In the meantime you might want to line up counsel to represent you if you are in fact charged. Most attorneys who participate here offer free, if limited, consultations. Take advantage of that and start interviewing candidates for the job. God luck.
It can often take a long period of time. It is also possible, that they sent it to a different address. You are considered responsible for notifying the state if you move from the address on your license to another. You may want to look at that because you do not want to miss a scheduled court date as a result.
