I have no priors and go to school as well as holding a steady job right now and was wondering how lenient a judge would be on me and if there's any chance of a judge dismissing the case altogether? Also how long does it take to get indicted in Texas from the time of the arrest?
It would be a good idea to contact a criminal defense attorney ASAP. The odds of getting a dismissal without legal assistance are unfavorable.
The statute of limitations of the case is 3 years from the date of offense. There are ways to avoid a conviction, but that's why you retain an attorney: to see what options are available in your particular case. Start calling around. Good luck
