hi my wife is currently on h4 visa which is valid till june 20th 2012. She just got admitted into a university and got her I20. she now plans to go to india for F1 stamping we plan to setup her stamping appointment in first week of june. My questions was incase her stamping f1 stamping gets rejected (highly unlikely) can she still come back on h4 visa? Please advise.
Unless they revoke the H4, she should be able to return on an unexpired, multiple entry H4 just as she could have done without trying to get an F1.
Yes, she can come back on an H-4. She should bring with her proof of your valid H-1B status.

I assume she did not do a change of status from H to F. In that case, if her F is rejected, she can return on the H.
