I am here to clarify my doubt. Currently, I am working with a company on H1B status. My H1B was picked up in the lottery last year 2016 and status started in October 2016. However, I am planning to pursue for second Masters in an accredited university.
If, I switch to F1 status in the coming semester so upon graduation next year , if I apply for old company again. Then would my H1B visa still be valid?. Does my old company has to file H1B again second time through lottery?.

You would have to go through the H-1 process again, actually, the company would have to, but you would not have to go through the lottery again. Doesn't your immigration attorney know this?
