My GC processing is on hold because of name issue in Birth Certificate. Its getting impossible to get the name changed on BC in India from issuing authority. My name is 'A' on BC and 'B' in School Docs, Passport, Visa , and all college marksheets and other official docs. Is there a way I can get through the GC process without changing the name on BC? Can adding a alias name in passport will help? What all places I have to get the alias name added? Is there any Affidavit which could help my case? Thanks in advance for the help.
You do not indicate why there is a discrepancy between the birth certificate and the names used in your passport and visa. You should have a consultation with immigration attorney explained the rationale for the discrepancy and perhaps the attorney will be able to give you guidance for a way forward.
Attorney Robert Brown's (former INS Director, 1972-99) reply to your question is general in nature, and does not constitute legal advice as all facts are known to him. For specific advice or representation you should retain an attorney experienced in immigration law. Mr. Brown's reply on AVVO does not create an attorney/client relationship not constitute legal advice.

Consult with an attorney, affidavits may ... or may not ... work.
Tell the attorney everything regarding your 'dual' names. Perhaps he/she can properly explain things to the government in a way that they will understand and accept things.

It all depends and different strategies can be used. Work with an attorney.
